I blinked open my eyes as the rays of dawn shone into the apprentice den. I lifted my head sluggishly, then let it drop. Then my eyes shot open, and I sprang up from my mossy bed. "Today I will go train with my mentor!" I said excitedly out loud. There was an irritated hiss and I flinched. "Sorry!" I called, but that just got more complaints. I decided not to say anything anymore, and padded outside.
